L.L.C., Appoints New General Manager at Wampum Facility

Wampum, PA (April 1, 2009) - Alaron Corporation is pleased to announce the appointment of a new General Manager to its
leadership post. Thomas Van Kirk has assumed the role of General Manager of Alaron Corporation, Veolia Environmental Services
Technical Solutions L.L.C., effective March 30, 2009. Van Kirk replaces Joe Harverson, who retired as General Manager at the
end of March 2009. Van Kirk previously served as Controller of Alaron Corporation.
Harverson stated, "Alaron is fortunate to have within its organization an individual that is uniquely qualified to assume the
role of General Manager. Van Kirk brings with him years of industry experience, a firm understanding of Alaron's operations,
and the foresight to steer Alaron through new stages of growth and development."
Thomas Van Kirk joined Alaron in 1995 as Assistant Controller and was promoted to Controller in 1997. Van Kirk holds a B.S. in
Accounting from Penn State University and an M.B.A. from Youngstown State University. Van Kirk also acts as Township Supervisor
for Little Beaver Township.
In his new position as General Manager, Mr. Van Kirk will be responsible for furthering the organization's strategic growth agenda
as set forth by Joe Harverson and Bob Cappadona, Vice-President of Service Operations Veolia Environmental Services. "My objective
is to continue to extend existing business lines and to spur the expansion of our services to accommodate the ever-shifting demands
of the Nuclear Industry. I have the utmost faith in our personnel and our ability to adapt Alaron's current business models to
encompass all new opportunities that will arise, " explained Van Kirk.
Alaron Corporation is a subsidiary of Veolia Environmental Services Technical Solutions L.L.C., and has been servicing the Nuclear
Industry since 1983. Alaron brings together key services to offer customers systemic repairs, maintenance, and upgrades on their
nuclear related components and tooling. Alaron's facility is situated on 26 acres with four on-site operations locations and 150,000
square feet of indoor work and storage space. Services include licensed facility access, large component processing and metals recycling,
volume reduction and disposal, motor test and rebuild, pump rebuild and balance, fabrication and repair, specialty coatings,
source recovery, and decontamination for free release.
